Serbian retail trade, industrial production up in December

Serbian retail trade turnover in December increased by 22.7% year-on-year in current prices and 11.2% in constant prices, according to figures released by the Central Statistical Office (SORS) on Monday. .

Compared to 2020, retail trade turnover in 2021 increased by 15.9% in current prices and 10.3% in constant prices, the Belgrade-based statistics agency said.

A separate report showed the country’s industrial production rose 3.3% year-on-year in December.

In a seasonally adjusted monthly comparison, industrial production rose 0.7% in December after rising 0.8% in November.

For the full year, Serbia’s industrial production grew by 6.3% year-on-year in 2021.
