Retail sales in Slovenia rose 17.1% year-on-year in September, the biggest increase since April, after rising 12.3% in August, data from the Ljubljana Bureau of Statistics (SURS) showed on Thursday. ).
The largest increase in sales was recorded for motor fuels (41.5%). In addition, retail trade increased for both food products (9%) and non-food products (6.6%).
On a seasonally adjusted monthly basis, retail trade rose 1.9%, following a 0.6% increase the previous month.
In the first three quarters of 2021, retail volume turnover increased 11.5% compared to the same period of 2020, the statistics agency said.
