From Wednesday “wristband solution” for retail and gastronomy
From Wednesday, December 15, the state capital Wiesbaden will launch the so-called “wristband solution” for retail and catering.
Anyone who has subsequently successfully proven their vaccination or recovered status at the entrances to the Christmas Market or Children’s Christmas Market (Sternschnuppenmark; Kinderternschnuppenmarkt) on Schlossplatz or Luisenplatz can receive a wristband. However, proof is only possible with a certificate of vaccination or recovered. The bracelet can then be presented at the entrance to shops and gastronomic establishments.
Wristbands are a voluntary offer. In addition to wristbands, individual identification with the vaccination certificate combined with an official identity document is still possible in retail and gastronomy.
A survey by the Department of Economics and Labor in Wiesbaden showed that retailers want such a solution. “It has become very clear that trade and gastronomy expect great relief from this. In recent days, it has been seen that the current checks of each customer in individual stores entail considerable effort. Showing a bracelet is much faster than withdrawing the vaccination certificate or showing the QR code. We very much hope that this will reduce the queues in front of the entrances to the stores to facilitate the difficult situation for commerce and gastronomy, ”says the mayor and head of the economic affairs department , Dr. Oliver Franz.
