Croatia’s retail sales volume rose 2.0% year-on-year in real terms in January, following a revised growth of 8.5% in December, the Central Statistics Office said on Tuesday. (Crostat) based in Zagreb, citing figures corrected for working days. .
Sales slowed significantly for non-food products (4.8% against 13.5% in December) and fell further for food, beverages and tobacco (-4.3% against -0.2%).
On a monthly basis, seasonally and working day adjusted retail sales volume fell 3.9% in January, after increasing 1.4% in December.
