Food retail turnover decreased by 1.9%. Retail trade of non-food products (excluding motor fuel retail) grew by 7.6%, but motor fuel retail turnover – by 5.6% .
Compared to September 2020, the strongest growth in turnover was recorded in retail trade by mail order or via the Internet (by 22.6%), retail trade in clothing, footwear and leather goods (11.1 %) and the retail trade of hardware, instruments, building materials. and sanitary facilities (10.0%).
Total retail sales at current prices increased by 9.7% (excluding the calendar effect).
Compared to August, in September 2021, the total turnover of retail trade enterprises increased by 0.4%, according to seasonally adjusted data at constant prices. Food retail turnover increased by 1.7%. Retail trade of non-food products (excluding automotive fuel retail) decreased by 0.9%, but automotive fuel retail sales increased by 1.6 %.
Compared to August, in September 2021, total retail sales at current prices (excluding seasonality) decreased by 5.5%.
